Star of “Obsession” Greta Korju wins in Venice
Greta Korju, who plays the main character Angelina Binder in “Obsession” has won the award for best actress at Venice Film Festival! Congratulations!
Greta has now won two awards for her role – the other one was won at Lulea International Film Festival.

“Obsession” has been awarded at Brussels film festival
Midwayer Films’ debut short film “Obsession” has once again seen success at an international level – this time, the jury of Brussels International Film Festival has decided to award us for best original score.
Congratulations to our fantastic composer Villem Rootalu and of course to the whole crew of the film!
Brussels International Film Festival is a monthly festival taking place in Brussels. The monthly winners are invited to an annual gala. This year’s gala is taking place from the 20th to the 25th of august 2024.

Swedish International Film Festival (SIFF) is a monthly film festival. In August 2023, the producer and supporting actress of “Obsession” Helen Anvelt won the award for best supporting actress.

“Obsessioon” wins at RED Movie Awards
“Obsession” triumphs again – this time our film has been selected as one of the winners at the RED Movie Awards summer season 2023!
The award for best supporting actress went to Helen Anvelt, who portrayed the protagonist’s mother, Lily Tomson, in the film “Obsession.”
RED Movie Awards is a glamorous French film festival that selects its winners every 3 months. At the annual gala in Reims, the best films of the year are awarded and recognised. The festival jury also includes international stars such as Kevin McNally and Lee Arenberg, both of whom have appeared in the successful “Pirates of the Caribbean” films.

Invisible Pain: Concerned Film Producer and Professional Counselor Discuss Mental Health Crisis
Midwayer Films founder and CEO Helen Anvelt, along with Tuuli Võsa, a counselor from the Social Insurance Board’s remote counseling team, appeared on Postimees’ podcast “Kultuuris kuum” with host Ralf Sauter. Together, they discussed what inspired Helen to create a short film about a girl sliding towards doom and what questions the film’s story raises. Professional listener Tuuli Võsa discusses the problems people call for emotional support on the helpline, why mental health issues should be taken more seriously, and the reasons why both young and old people in Estonia are falling into depression nowadays.
