Based on the evaluation of experts and the proposal of the Erasmus+ Evaluation Committee, the European Commission will support Midwayer Films OÜ mobilities in 2022-2023.

Midwayer Films is sending its employees on job-shadowing mobilities to improve their qualifications. The destinations are Portugal, Iceland, Sicily and possibly other countries who are still being negotiated with. The hosting organisations are Portugal Film School, EU Project Consult and Iceland Casting Agency. They will also meet Ficus Films and Mobility Friends in Portugal and visit the Icelandic Film School in Iceland. The mobilites are planned to be around 7-16 days long and will take place mainly from March-April 2023 and August-September 2023.

Through their job-shadowing experience and participation in various workshops, the team of Midwayer Films will acquire new knowledge, methods and tips & tricks of the different stages of film production, from pre- to post-production. In addition, the gained practical skills and knowledge will help the employees of Midwayer Films to create high quality filmmaking courses that will boost the interest of potential filmmaking students. All of the materials used and created for the courses are digital and accessible via web. The participants of the mobility will host a distribution event where they will talk about making documentary films, the casting process and how to audition successfully. The study materials will be available for free from 2023 spring/summer. They will be distributed through newsletters, Midwayer Films social media channels and the Midwayer Films website.
